Wana Brands is the #1 infused edibles company in North America with operations in 13 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, and growing! Wana is hiring a Sales Representative to cover our Southern Colorado territory who will have a significant presence representing Wana Brands in the area. This role is a multi-dimensional position covering areas of sales, marketing, brand awareness, strategy and acting as a liaison between customers and  Wana Brands, playing a critical role in driving growth, sales, and awareness of the Wana brand.

Must live within the territory and have or be able to obtain a Colorado MED Badge.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to the sales and marketing efforts, develop, and implement the Company’s strategic sales plan, analysis of market conditions, competitive forces, regulatory requirements and changes, customer and market needs in addition to the sales resources required to meet revenue targets.  Duties will focus on selling as #1 priority, evaluate pricing and cost analysis, strong communication with distribution partner and regular updating to management.  This role will cover Southern Colorado territory, including but not limited to Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Trinidad and Salida.

 Position Accountabilities

  • #1 Priority:  Grow Sales territory for Colorado.
  • Conduct and analyze market research to determine opportunities, trends and risks in the market.
  • Clearly define and assess market opportunities and develop go-to-market strategy
  • Continually evaluate Wana commercial sales approach
  • Be an outward facing evangelist and drive new business
  • As required, develop marketing and business partnerships leveraging relationships within the industry.
  • Expectation is on average 28 sales visits per week
  • Represent Wana at industry events, conferences, and tradeshows
  • Position is located within the Southern Colorado Territory. Colorado Springs, Pueblo or Salida area preferred.

 Experience and Education Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in Sales/Business Development and/or marketing, preferably within the cannabis industry or beverage wholesale but not limited to.
  • Experience working directly with customers and relevant distribution channels.
  • Must have the ability to organize, implement and maintain marketing strategies and programs.
  • Should possess outstanding presentation and communication skills.
  • Results oriented team player with thorough business fundamentals.
  • Track record of successfully deliver against revenue and other quantitative goals
  • Proven ability to perform in high-visibility, high-growth environments.
  • Must be hands on and willing to drive new business and work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Prior experience with pop ups and promotions a plus
  • Proficient technical skills including use of MS Office, Google Drive, and CRM software

Work Environment

This position will frequently work in the field traveling to dispensaries, pop-up-events, and other marketing and promotional events.  Ability to drive, sometimes long distances, is required.  Must have access to a secure home office-type environment with use of computers, virtual meetings, internet, email and phone.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, present information and answer questions. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers, to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Lift and carry folding tables, bins of merchandise, tents and banners. Must be able to stand and talk with others for up to 4 hours at a time. Must have ability to travel using own transportation, occasionally for long distances.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position works normal business hours 8:30a-5:00p. Some late nights and weekends will be required.  Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
