We are looking for an Inventory Control Supervisor who will join our Tulsa, Oklahoma supply chain team.

 

This position supports the distribution and warehouse leadership teams to provide guidance and coordination of the Inventory Control team's daily activities necessary to maintain accurate inventory records according to the company's requirements. The Inventory Control Supervisor will lead the site Inventory Management program and report to operations leadership on all associated performance metrics, both operational and financial. Activities will include analysis of cycle count variances and inventory shortages, capacity planning, slotting and operational improvements, SAP inventory maintenance, and operational collaboration. This position also comes with the understanding of promoting a safe and compliant warehouse operation and ensures freedom to operate through the enforcement of standard operating procedures, company policy, all legal/regulatory considerations, and company/regional safety and quality procedures.

 

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Oversight and operational performance of all cycle count programs to ensure consistency and accuracy to the company standards and operational excellence. Identify and manage performance through all people, processes, and technology categories.

  • Maintain records of all variances according to established procedures and financial compliance.

  • Track performance by area, determine problems and root causes, communicate results and recommend appropriate action.

  • Ensure that hazardous and date-sensitive products are checked for expiration, quantities are correct, and exceptions are handled for the timely movement of goods.

  • Set up and/or change the stock-keeping unit (SKU) in the strategic pick location(s).

  • Ensure that all cycle counts are scheduled and counting is completed timely, accurately, and in compliance with standard operating procedures.

  • Administer all return shipments of customers in case of any shortages and damages and communicate the same to the manufacturer and/or shipping facility.

  • Monitor work of all inventory control personnel and ensure achievement of all objectives and provide improvements to the same if required. Provide training to direct reports on all inventory processes and procedures.

  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain records of all bin locations. Maintain system data integrity.

  • Manage all communication with inventory controllers and make recommendations for the same. This includes all variances that need to be reported to the corporate controller's team.

  • Manage all inventory transactions and provide required feedback to the team as required.

 

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • High school education or equivalent required; some colleges preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of distribution/warehouse/ operations and Inventory control experience.

  • Analytical experience and knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures.

  • Experience with SAP, SAP EWM, Business Warehouse (or similar reporting software) preferred.

  • Experience in Microsoft and/or google suites preferred

  • Exposure to compliance and safety requirements associated with the management of a warehouse operation is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communications, organization, resource management, and technology utilization skills.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Warehousing, and distribution operational experience

  • Inventory Control experience preferred

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills

  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google applications

  • Proficient user of SAP preferred

  • Business Warehouse, Business Objects, or other data warehouse reporting experience

  • Ability to accept ownership and accountability

  • Able to work effectively cross-functionally within the organization

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to use written and verbal communication skills to communicate to multiple levels of leadership.

  • Attention to detail

  • Active listening skills

  • Ability to be flexible and open to change
